Beyond the countless award-winning builds, Steve took immense pride in mentoring others, creating opportunities for talented craftsmen to thrive and support their families. Unwavering attention to detail is the foundation upon which Steve’s Auto Restorations was built- and will continue to stand. His final wishes were for that legacy to continue. Steve ensured the future of S.A.R. would remain in capable hands, with leadership now resting with his seasoned team of professionals with more than 80 years of experience, collectively, working alongside Steve. Thanks to his foresight, the shop will remain open, allowing us the opportunity to continue serving the hot rod and restoration community. Our mission remains the same as we now carry the torch forward; build with uncompromising quality, focus on timeless design and innovation. We lost a legend in the automotive community- He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Steve’s legacy will live on through the work we continue, fueled by the passion he inspired in all of us. Rest in peace, Steve-your vision will forever guide the road ahead

It is with great sadness that we at Steve’s Auto Restorations announce the passing of our founder, leader, and dear friend, Steve Frisbie. Steve passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Steve’s passion for the design process, craftsmanship, and innovation defined the spirit of S.A.R. His dedication has left a lasting impression, within our shop and throughout the industry he loved so deeply. His presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue on in the work that we carry forward.
